Well the question “Where do I begin?” is sitting here like beginning a novel.

Basically I am a compu-geek tinkerer with a good ability to understand how things work. Last year I accomplished the project of a lifetime. I built a small workshop. A little 16′x15′ 1.5 story monster that I thought would never get finished. With some help and guidance from my friend Kevin (can’t ever thank him enough), my wife and my mother-in-law, I was able to get it done.

I sat and watched the price of gas get higher and dreamed about a Prius but I like to get my value out of a car and could not justify dropping the cash until gas got higher. As the price of gas rose I read and digested everything I could about EV conversions. I have so far developed the following theory:

As the price of gas approaches infinity, the difficulty in converting a vehicle to an EV is reduced proportionally.

This is about the time that Kevin (remember my best friend) says something that makes me think twice about the dogs barking in my head.

Well I have decided to proceed with the project (bark bark bark). After reviewing all of the documents of conversions that have come before me, I feel confident that I can make a vehicle frame at least move forward before it explodes or I electrocute myself. (bark bark bark)

Since I have made this decision I have decided that this site will be my documentation of the process.
